MATCH PREVIEW | Rhinos Women set for Leopards test this Sunday

For the third time in 2025, Leeds Rhinos Women take on Leigh Leopards as Lois Forsell's side looks to extend their advantage in the top four of the Betfred Women's Super League.
A convincing outing against Barrow Raiders pulled the Rhinos five points clear of Huddersfield and within five points of York Valkyrie as the top four break away from the chasing pack with four points to go. Leigh's first Super League season has seen the club only win twice as they look to finish the campaign on a high.

Opposition
With four games to go in the Betfred Women's Super League, Leigh Leopards hope that it is third time lucky against the Rhinos this weekend, as a loss would mathematically end the club's chances of making it into the top four.
Kieran Purtill's side have faced some stern challenges since moving out of the Championship into the Super League competition, as they are yet to beat one of the top four clubs, but they have rallied to muster two wins early in the campaign. After bowing out of the Challenge Cup against York in the quarter finals, the Leopards ran in 42 points against both Barrow and Warrington, but eight successive losses has seen the club fall through the rankings to sit seventh coming into this weekend.
There have been some standout performers despite results, notably Emily Baggaley and Charlotte Melvin, who both represented Lancashire in the Origin match last month. Melvin has been solid with the kicking tee with 13 goals to lead the Leopards' points scoring in all competitions, whilst Kate Howard has continued to be the side's leading try scorer with seven, including one against the Rhinos at AMT Headingley back in round six. The result against the Rhinos was the fifth meeting in all competitions between the clubs, after the sides have met four times in the Challenge Cup and once in the league.
Leeds and St Helens both head to the Leigh Sports Village down the final stretch of the season, plus the Leopards also face Huddersfield and Warrington as they hope to pick up more wins before the season finale in September. Warrington will be a key clash as the Wolves look to avoid the wooden spoon, but the Leopards enjoy the benefit of home advantage with three out of their remaining four games being played at Leigh Sports Village.
